Blue Scarves & Letter Shapes

Lately, I've been posting about Spring trends and today won't be the exception. I had a great weekend, the weather was nice and warm for February. I did a little trend browsing and found a lot of blue in fashion fabrics like the beautiful blue tones used in the flower pattern scarves below. The blue tones are in the soft pastel color range, perfect for Spring!

Pretty Spring scarves at +LOFT - you can shop them HERE.

I also found these cool letter shapes at +Anthropologie that I had to share. I have considered getting a few of these but can't figure out how to fit them with my decor. If you've been following the blog, you probably know my love for fonts, and everything related to letter forms so I think that I'll eventually figure something out and find a place for them, even if it's in a little corner of the apartment. Hah!

So, how was your weekend? Did you find something cool and trendy? I'd love to hear from you in the comments.

Cheers!

A Royal Style Talk...

Let’s have a Royal talk! You probably know by now that the Royal baby is a boy. The child hasn't been named yet but we'll hear about that soon...and every little boy born after the #royalbaby will be named like him. Hah! You know it's the truth. Lets just wait and continue the talk about Kate Middleton's dress. We all love Kate's style and today, she wore a blue polka dot dress to introduce the Royal Baby. Some say it's an ode to Princess Diana who had a similar outfit when Prince William was presented to the world. I think she looked adorable and even though her baby belly is still there, every women would love to look as radiant as Kate when heading home from the hospital.

I thought we might want to wear blue dresses to work, weekend or to introduce our own royal baby to the world so, I picked out 3 styles to love.

Did you wear a special outfit when heading out of the hospital? I have no experience in the area so would love to hear your thoughts. Also, don't forget to mention your favorite dress in a comment. Cheers!

Blue Home

Living in blue decor could make us feel fresh and give every home a beachy touch. Just what I need on this HOT summer day. I always say that in NYC the weather goes to the extremes - it's either too cold, or too hot. For the past week, it's been one of those "too hot" days. Hope you like these blue home decor items. Try to stay cool and enjoy the summer!

Blue Nails: Spark-tacular & Rock the boat!

July's color on the month is blue and it made me realize that I didn't own a blue nail polish so, I had to go shopping for one. The lucky color is Essie's "Rock the Boat" polish. I usually try to add some glam to my nails by using a metal tone polish or glitter and in this case I picked Sephora by Opi in "Spark-tacular!" I've had this one for a few years and love it because it complements any color.

The trick for getting the glitter line straight is to make sure there is enough glitter on the brush and then placing it on top of your nail slowly without brushing it so that it wont become thick.

What do you think? Share your tips in a comment below. Cheers!

Swimming in Blue with J.Crew!

I love Summer, I truly do but this NYC heat just drives me nuts. Sometimes I just want to head to the beach, pool, or a beautiful rocky river like the ones in my hometown Bonao, DR. That might help us cool down besides staying home with a blasting AC.

You probably noticed from the title that July's color of the month is Blue. I picked blue because it reminds me of the beautiful white sand beaches of Dominican Republic . To cool down, I picked some blue swim styles from +J.Crew  that range from light to dark blue. There is also a rash guard top for the surfer girls (sold out online but you might find it at a store). Click here for all the J.Crew Swim. Stay cool and have a lovely wekend!
