Blue Home

Living in blue decor could make us feel fresh and give every home a beachy touch. Just what I need on this HOT summer day. I always say that in NYC the weather goes to the extremes - it's either too cold, or too hot. For the past week, it's been one of those "too hot" days. Hope you like these blue home decor items. Swimming in Blue with J.Crew!

I love Summer, I truly do but this NYC heat just drives me nuts. Sometimes I just want to head to the beach, pool, or a beautiful rocky river like the ones in my hometown Bonao, DR. That might help us cool down besides staying home with a blasting AC.

You probably noticed from the title that July's color of the month is Blue. I picked blue because it reminds me of the beautiful white sand beaches of Dominican Republic . To cool down, I picked some blue swim styles from +J.Crew  that range from light to dark blue. There is also a rash guard top for the surfer girls (sold out online but you might find it at a store). Aloha from Oahu!

the beach bag...

Are we there yet? For the past three months I've been counting down the months, weeks, work days and actual days left for vacation. The time to pack is almost here and I definitely feel ready but I'm still missing one item, the beach tote.

This is one of the most important things to pack because it's a need when heading to the beach, river or pool. It's a must have item to carry the beach towels, sun block, book, and everything else that will contribute to a relaxing time.

My personal favorites are the top two from Gap (left) and +EXPRESS (right). I might end up getting the Express one because it would match anything in my wardrobe but let me know what you think. Do you have a favorite from my picks below. Share it in a comment. Cheers!
